Did your ancestors die in Ottawa between 1828 and 1845?

Ontario's Registrar of Cemeteries is seeking descendants of persons buried in the Barracks Hill Cemetery which existed near Elgin & Queen Streets in Ottawa between 1828 and 1845.

City workers uncovered the cemetery last September and the remains found need to be re-interred elsewhere. Descendants will have a say in where the remains are placed if they contact the Registrar by March 21, 2014.
